Guet Ndar, a traditional fishing district of Saint-Louis in Senegal, is disappearing like a slowly sinking raft, invaded by the sea which is gradually eroding the coast. Life has been transformed for the families who live on the seafront in houses that have lost several rooms by the waves... Ahmed Sarr, a former fisherman converted into a fishmonger, talks about their resistance and shares with other fishermen the memories of a life spent in this neighborhood dear to their hearts. Together, they draw the collective memory of Guet Ndar before it is swallowed up. A fight has begun against the Ocean before a departure which seems inevitable. However, residents hope to hold on until a solution is offered to them. This film aims to bear witness to the sudden transformations in the lives of the men and women of this seaside, to capture the final traces of these future climatic castaways before their departure.
