Ghost Ship

Moïse Togo

Ghost Ship connects two ends of the emigration chain. A first which expresses absence, hope, despair and guilt, through the voice of the families of missing migrants. A second which gives a burial to anonymous drowned people washed up by the sea and attempts to reinscribe them in history through the gestures of men of good will. The two ends are connected by computer-generated image sequences illustrating the mental world of families in pain. In the great void left by the victims, the destinies of their families intersect and moving testimonies follow one another.
